For the most up-to-date handicap list please click on the Master Scoreboard Picture below which is directly updated following each competition. Their is also a handicap list on the clubs noticeboard which is updated regularly. You need to check the issue dates on them. If you have played since then in a handicap competition you need to adjust your handicap in accordance CONGU Unified Handicapping System.

Easthampstead Golf Club uses The CONGU® Unified Handicapping System for allotment and adjustment of handicaps.

PLAYERS RESPONSIBILITY
Members playing Club Competitions must :
· Ensure their correct handicap is on their score card.
· Check the score cards carefully before both the marker and the player sign the cards.
· Check the correct gross score is marked on each hole on your card.
· Ensure that any errors are corrected on both the Players card and the card the Player has been marking.
· Write the markers name in the space provided on your card.
· Ensure the finishing time is recorded at the end of the round on your card.
· Return the score card to the member collecting them. (If this is a problem leave the card in the handicap secretaries post tray by the club noticeboard. DO NOT put cards in the Club Box by the noticeboard)
Note: Once cards are left on the returns pile the card will be deemed to be "returned to the committee" (rule 6.6c) and must not be removed or altered.
Members playing at Away Competitions must:
Under the handicap system have only one handicap managed by their Home Club. Where EGC is your Home Club, any results, including Disqualifications or No Returns from qualifying competitions played at another club must be reported to the EGC Handicap Secretary. (Please check with the competition organiser if they are going to do this on your behalf). The competition information required is:
· Date and Location of the competition
· Your score (Medal or Stableford Points)
· The Par, SSS and CSS for the course and competition
HANDICAP COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITY
Handicaps for a new member will be awarded by the Handicap Committee from the best result scored from their first 3 cards, after a further 3 and 6 cards the committee will review the handicap for any adjustment.
During the year should their be evidence that a member’s handicap does not
reflect his ability then
the handicap may be adjusted as allowed under the rule for GENERAL PLAY
ADJUSTMENT.
Under the latest rules for EXCEPTIONAL SCORING REDUCTIONS (ESR) the Handicap Committee can now reduce handicaps where players score 4 or more better than their handicap twice or more in a calendar year.
As required by the ANNUAL REVIEW rule the committee reviews all members handicaps in January each year with handicap adjustments made as considered appropriate.
