The Away weekend at The Vale was a great success, the weather could not have been better, neither could the course, the venue or the food, only the golf could have been improved upon.

Both courses, especially The National, offered challenges not seen at Downshire despite being only 200 yards longer from the yellows compared with Downshire’s white tees. The blue championship tees looked awesome.
