TOURNAMENT RULES

The Easthampstead Open shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as provided by the Royal and Ancient Club of St Andrew’s and any local rules at the time of the Competition. The Competition shall consist of 18 holes of medal play and is limited to 160 players including guests and sponsors. Food and drink will be provided during the day.

The overall winner will be the player returning the lowest net score.  Other major prizewinners will be the three lowest net scores in three ‘divisions’ – Scratch – 12; 13 to 20; 21 to 28.  There will be a further major prize for the best gross score. There will also be other prizes for ‘nearest the pin’ on each of the par 3 holes, ‘nearest the pin in 2’ on the 12th hole a ‘longest drive’ (one prize for each of the 3 divisions) on one hole to be selected and a putting competition.

No player may win more than one major prize. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter or amend the Tournament Rules and prize structure and their decision on all matters shall be final.

ENTRY CONDITIONS

All entrants must be of amateur status as defined by the ‘R & A’ and a member of a recognised golf club within the English Golf Union.    The Easthampstead Open is restricted to men and women aged 18 and over on the day of the Competition.

Entrants must possess a valid handicap certificate under the current handicap system and evidence of current handicap must be produced on the day of the competition.  No refund of entry monies will be made after the draw for starting times on 2nd July.  Tee times will be notified shortly after the draw has been made, and will also appear on our club website www.ehgc.info. Tournament Committee reserves the right to reject any entry or alter or amend the conditions of entry.
